Member in good standing

Member in good standing

MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING….. What does that really mean? If you look at our bylaws it states that a member is in good standing if they pay their dues and have no ongoing violations to the restrictive covenants. Understanding that not paying your dues would put you in “not good standing” is easy. But how about the violations part of it?

Does the current board actually know what property owners are not in good standing and why? Is it it broke down between paying dues and having violations? ? The rules also state that if you are deemed “not in good standing” you will be unable to use any amenities..

How and is this currently being policed? If you ride around the lake as I previously stated you will see all kinds of serious violations that have been like that for many many years. Are these folks not in good standing? Are some currently serving on committees and or using amenities ? These are some of the things that the board should be looking into.
