Lake Royale Pledge

PLEDGE required to participate on the LakeRoyalePledge.com website as a Candidate

To present and promote yourself on the lakeroyalepledge.com website, you must sign the following pledge.

1. I am not a convicted felon.
2. I will render explicit any possible conflicts of interest (e.g. I am a builder, or a realtor or a contractor) in my campaign promotions.
3. I pledge that I will always act in the best interests of the community and that I will not, (and have not for incumbents) made decisions that are self-serving, or would benefit myself or my family and friends. Examples of self-serving and conflicts of interest would be creating false bids, obtaining a list of and soliciting property owners with overdue dues, interfering with compliance violations, etc. 
4. If a conflict-of-interest situation arises I will recuse myself from the discussion and the voting on that issue.
5. I will not use (and have not used for incumbents) LRPOA confidential information, (e.g. mailing lists, unpaid dues list) property, services, equipment or business for the gain or benefit of myself or relatives or friends. 
6. I will report any known ethical violations or violations of other board members.
7. My decisions will always follow the covenants, rules and regulations and bylaws of the LRPOA.
8. I will regularly attend all member meetings and become informed prior to voting on issues.
9. I will not make promises to vendors or property owners unless with prior approval from the Board.
10. I will not solicit or receive any gift, gratuity, favor, entertainment, loan, or any other thing of value for myself or my family or friends from a person or company who is seeking a business or financial relationship with the LRPOA.
11. I will not seek preferential treatment for myself or my friends or family.
12. I will not use Association property, services, equipment or business for the gain or benefit of myself or family or friends.
13. I am a Lake Royale POA Member in good standing (dues paid and no compliance issues) and I pledge to maintain that standing while in office.
14. I pledge to safeguard LRPOA information. I will not use confidential information to benefit myself, or my friends or family. I will treat LRPOA information as confidential (particularly any LRPOA information with personal information such as name address, DOB, or financial information). I will keep it secure and not share it to unauthorized individuals. 
15. I pledge to perform my duties in an ethical, legal, honest, transparent, respectful fair and not self-serving manner.
